1. MAKE MONSTROUS HALLOWEEN BUNTING
If you’re having a Halloween party, this monster bunting is great fun, and fun to make too.
2. HALLOWEEN CRAFTS FROM TOILET ROLLS
Toilet rolls are a cheap material to use for crafts and you’ll always have some in the recycling at home. Save all your spare toilet rolls and you’ll never be short of craft materials. For Halloween, you could use them to make bats, ghosts, witches and monsters.
You could make lots of bats and hang them upside down on a branch or on a piece of string like a bat garland. Turn your bat upside down and glue a piece of ribbon or a strip of paper to the inside of the roll to hang them up.
3. DECORATE WITH SPOOKY STONES FOR HALLOWEEN
Painting stones to look like pumpkins, ghosts and monsters is one of many fun and easy Halloween crafts that even small children can enjoy. They make great Halloween table decorations.
Besides some stones, all you need is some good hobby paint with good coverage, and a brush.
4. BOO! MAKE GHOSTS OUT OF JAM JARS
You can use jam jars to make really scary Halloween ghosts. Paint the jars white and draw on a mouth and eyes with black felt tip (make sure the ink is waterproof if you’re going to hang them outside).
Tear long strips of white fabric, e.g. from a sheet or a pillowcase. Tape them onto the inside of the jar.
5. MAKE GLASS JAR HALLOWEEN LANTERNS
Another fun Halloween craft is making your own lanterns. Not out of pumpkins but using jam jars to make ghosts and monsters. Cut ghost faces out of paper and glue them onto the jar. The lanterns will look really spooky when it gets dark.
You will need:
- Jam jars with lids
- Hobby paint
- Strong paper
- Hobby glue
Instructions:
- Wash the jars and leave to dry.
- Paint the outside. You may need two coats of paint.
- Paint the lids black.
- Cut eyes, noses and mouths out of paper and glue them onto the jars.
- Use battery-powered tea lights

Wall hangings are fun and simple Halloween crafts. You’ll need string, strong paper, glue and a stick.
Cut out bats, ghosts and skulls, etc. and glue to a piece of string. Make lots of strings of different lengths and hang them from the stick.

Make a scary Halloween wreath from clothes pegs and hang it on your door or on a wall.
- You will need:
- Wooden clothes pegs
- Cardboard
- Hobby paint
- Strong paper
- Felt
- Glue
- Decorations
Instructions:
- Cut a circle out of card. You could use a paper plate.
- Paint the reverse orange.
- Cut eyes and nose out of black card or paint them with black paint. Draw on a mouth with a black pen.
- Paint the clothes pegs and clip them around the circle of card.
- Cut bats and ghosts out of paper and glue them onto the wreath.
- Cut strips of black and white felt about 1.5 cm wide and roll them up.
- Hang the wreath on a piece of string.
