Find sticks and paint them to look like imaginative animals
Painting sticks is a very simple, fun craft idea. Take the family out for a nature walk and collect some sticks. It’s best if they are a bit dry.
Look at each stick and think what sort of animal it might be. “Could this one be a bird, a yawning crocodile, a fish or a cat?” All you need to do is tune in to your creativity and imagination.
Paint the sticks in cheerful colours
It’s best if you strip the bark before starting to paint and if the stick is really dry. Then you just start painting. You could decorate your sticks with glitter glue and yarn. Use a cotton bud to paint dots. The brighter the colours, the funnier the animal.
