Play theater with masks you have painted yourself

Put on your masks and dress up or act a play with your friends

One of our themed kits contains masks made from white card that you can paint and decorate yourself with stones, glitter glue and feathers. It’s a fantastic creative craft activity! You get masks in different shapes and designs. Half of them are human masks and half are animals. Some of them even have pre-printed patterns to follow. There’s plenty of materials for more than one child. Once you have painted the masks, you can use them for plays or dressing up.

A cute animal mask with ears and antennae
Here we’ve decorated the antennae with sparkles and added a flower. We’ve dotted the ears with glitter glue. Eyelashes would make it even cuter.
This is what the masks look like to begin with
A lovely ladybird
Some might find it easier to decorate with pre-printed lines. Some masks come with a pre-printed pattern while others are blank so you can use your imagination and create your own design.
A colourful caterpillar
One tip when painting your mask is to start with the lighter colours and finish off with black felt tip. Here we’ve dotted the orange surface with red glitter glue and have added lines to the antennae.
